I am the founder of Oasis of Presence and OZ Relax and Sport, both of which reflect my long journey of seeking a deeper connection between body, mind, and that which transcends us all.
This path has taken me through many lands and states of being. I spent several years in Thailand, especially in Chiang Mai, where I studied deep tissue massage, meditation, and connective tissue work. Gradually, I began to understand the body as a subtle, intelligent network that holds our stories and remembers what we ourselves may have long forgotten.
My journey then led me to India, where I spent almost a year immersed in yoga and meditation. For several weeks I lived and practised at the Isha Yoga Centre, one of the largest and most respected yoga and meditation centres in the world, founded by Sadhguru. Being there, surrounded by thousands of people from across the globe, opened new dimensions of perceiving both body and silence, leaving an imprint within me that continues to deepen.
In my work with people I sought ways to reach beneath the surface of words. I completed a year-long professional training in Compassionate Inquiry with Dr Gabor Maté, followed by an addiction-focused training with Sat Dharam Kaur ND. It was there that I experienced a crucial insight: that our first form of addiction often lies in our own personality traits – adaptive mechanisms that once helped us survive but may now hold us back.
Much was also revealed to me during my NLP Master training at the Shangrila Centre, where Bhagat showed me the transformative power hidden in words and metaphors. I discovered how gently yet profoundly these tools can reshape our inner worlds.
I have also taken part in many shamanic rituals and ceremonies across various traditions.
For more than 15 years I have been integrating yoga, mindfulness, and trauma-informed approaches into my work with both individuals and professional athletes. All that I continue to learn now flows into the shared space I create with others.
With gratitude,
Raasti Havala
